About Me

After being born in Del Mar, CA, Caitlin and her family moved across the country when she was just 2 years old to rural Wilton, NH for the Waldorf Schools where she stayed through high school. She then attended Mount Holyoke College in Western Massachusetts on a soccer scholarship. She is also an avid basketball and lacrosse player. Learning to ski as soon as she could walk, she found her love for the snow and snowboarding which ultimately brought her to Tahoe on a ski vacation, and she never left. Since then, she has lived in South Lake Tahoe, Minden, NV, Incline Village, Kings Beach, and Tahoe Vista, CA. She also lived in Hanalei, HI and Portsmouth, NH where she fulfilled her love of surfing, and lastly Xiamen, China while studying abroad for her masters degree in comparative Chinese/American criminal justice.

Caitlin loves to travel, and is lucky enough to do so as a professional cellist in the Tahoe Symphony Orchestra for the last 10 years, with 3 years in the Carson City Symphony before that. With an international tour every 2 years, TSO or “TOCCATA”, (The Orchestra & Choral Artists of the Tahoe Area) has taken its instrumentalists, singers, and donors to Northern Italy, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. The next international tour will cover France from Paris to Coté D’Azur via river boat with concert stops along the banks and onboard.

Caitlin has had 5 years of overall real estate experience, both licensed and unlicensed. From receptionist at Lakeshore Realty to marketing and administrative assistant at Oliver Lux, to sales associate and transaction coordinator at Coldwell Banker, she has maximized her 13 years of being a Tahoe local to give back to those aspiring to also call this place “home”.

Introduced to the company by former and current coworker and mentor Jenna Belden, Caitlin was especially attracted to the global presence of Engel & Völkers. She loves learning and speaking different languages like French, German and Spanish, as well as learning the geography, geology, history, and global social studies that come with that endeavor. It must run in the family, as her brother speaks fluent German. He married his high school sweetheart (originally exchange student girlfriend from Munich, Germany). Now her brother and his wife live in Cologne, Germany after 5 years in Hamburg, with their 2 young German bilingual children.

To share her knowledge and passion for the Truckee Tahoe area with those wishing to call this paradise “home" is a dream come true. Helping bucket lists get checked off while igniting lifelong friendships in the process is Caitlin’s ultimate goal. With the support of such prestigious and welcoming colleagues, friends, and clients around the lake and around the world, the short and longterm endeavors of her new position as a new luxury global advisor are promising. Because expressing thankfulness in actions is more meaningful than just words, giving back is the optimal method of communicating gratitude. Understanding how important a real estate investment is for families and individuals, and to be an instrumental part of that special life event is an honor to her. To be a source of confidence, expertise, familiarity, and ease is what she will strive for in every interaction.
